It has been a while since my last blog post, and for very good reason… I’m pleased to tell you that on the 6th of June I married my long-term partner in crime (Kit) and I am now Mrs Burrows!! To save on confusion I’m going to stay “Ms Pickard” for business purposes, for the time being at least.
We had a fantastic wedding day and a mad, fun, busy time in the run-up to the big day. The event was held in my parents-in-law’s field, with the ceremony at one end of the field and the reception hosted in a marquee at the other end. While this was great for the budget, it did require a lot of creative DIY-ing that meant my focus was on live client projects and wedding only.
There were many opportunities for using all those crazy/fun design ideas that we might not inflict on offer to other people, and I thought I would share a few with you here.
I absolutely love making things, as well as designing them, and the wedding was a great excuse to get baking, cake decorating, sign writing and much more!
We were also stoked that our good friend Jane Kenney (www.janekenney.co.uk) was able to make my wedding and engagement rings. This meant that I got to design my own rings, with Jane’s expert advice and guidance!
